QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Jehanzaib Khan, announced that the Chief Minister of Balochistan has approved a special Ramazan relief package for 328,000 deserving families across the province.

Speaking to media representatives in Quetta, the DG PDMA said that the package will be distributed in phases throughout all districts to ensure maximum coverage of eligible beneficiaries.

He explained that the distribution mechanism has been revised this year to enhance transparency. The task has been given to an eight-member District Coordination Committee, which has been formed to oversee the process and ensure fair, merit-based distribution. The Ramazan package has already reached more than 20 districts, with distribution to the remaining districts to be completed shortly.

Jehanzaib Khan emphasized that no compromise will be made on the quality of the package and that only genuinely deserving families will receive ration supplies. He clarified that ineligible individuals will not be allowed to benefit from the scheme.

The package has been designed to meet the essential needs of each family for 15 days, providing meaningful relief during the holy month of Ramazan.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the DG PDMA said that the Balochistan government is utilizing all available resources to serve and facilitate deserving citizens, ensuring maximum relief for the public during Ramazan.
