Balochistan Board announces Matric results, Ahmed lead top position

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced the annual matriculation examination results, with male students securing the top positions this year.

According to the official results, Ahmed of Balochistan Residential College (BRC) Loralai clinched first place with 1051 marks. Close behind, Matiullah of BRC Zhob secured second position with 1050 marks, while Younus Khan and Muhammad Mudasir of BRC Loralai shared third place, each scoring 1046 marks.

The board reported that out of 77,251 candidates who appeared for the 10th-grade examinations, 69,002 students passed, reflecting a success rate of 89.

32 percent. For the 9th-grade examinations, 68,517 candidates appeared, of which 50,400 students passed, resulting in a success rate of 73.56 percent.

Education officials noted that this year’s results highlight strong academic performance across the province, with boys leading in top positions and overall pass percentages showing steady improvement.

The announcement sparked celebrations in schools and colleges throughout Balochistan, as students, parents, and teachers hailed the achievements and expressed optimism for the future of education in the province.
