Balochistan government initiates development plan for Rakhni Bazaar

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) The Balochistan government has approved a comprehensive development and beautification project for Rakhni Bazaar, aimed at boosting economic activity, modernizing trade infrastructure, and providing improved facilities to the public.

Following approval by the provincial cabinet, the Services and General Administration Department has issued a formal notification, directing immediate implementation so that the benefits reach citizens without delay.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the upgradation of Rakhni Bazaar would give new momentum to the local economy, expand business opportunities, and provide traders with a safe, organized, and convenient environment.

In a post on social media platform X, he emphasized that the project would not only strengthen commercial activity but also generate new employment opportunities.

Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed that the provincial government was committed to enhancing urban facilities, strengthening infrastructure, and pursuing a vision of sustainable development. He noted that providing modern amenities aligned with contemporary needs and ensuring systematic urban growth would remain top priorities.

The Chief Minister added that the upgradation of Rakhni Bazaar would enhance the overall beauty of the area, improve civic management, and significantly raise the standard of living for residents, marking an important step toward the vision of a prosperous and developed Balochistan.
