QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Balochistan’s Secretary of Health, Mujeebur Rehman, has clarified reports circulating on social media regarding the transfer of medical equipment from Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital in Saryab, stating that the information being spread is misleading and contrary to facts.
Mujeebur Rehman explained that the relocation of cardiac equipment was approved in a high-level meeting, and the equipment is being temporarily shifted to the Balochistan Institute of Cardiology and Vascular Diseases (BICVD).
He added that new and advanced machines have already been purchased for BICVD and are expected to be delivered within two to three months. Once installed, the relocated equipment will be returned to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital to ensure continuity of cardiac services without causing inconvenience to patients.
He stressed that no hospital facilities are being shut down, contrary to rumors, but rather resources are being redistributed to strengthen multiple hospitals across the province.
“These measures are aimed at saving time, improving services, and ensuring treatment is available closer to people’s homes,” he said, urging both media and citizens to avoid spreading false information and instead acknowledge positive progress.
The Health Secretary highlighted that Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital, once inactive, has been revitalized under the current government. It now provides 24-hour emergency, gynecology, and surgical services, along with MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, and other modern facilities.
Mujeebur Rehman cautioned that sharing unverified videos and misinformation creates unnecessary anxiety and confusion among the public. He appealed to citizens to verify facts before forwarding any news.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, he said that comprehensive efforts are underway to improve healthcare across Balochistan, ensuring modern medical facilities are accessible to people throughout the province.
