Beautification projects accelerated at tehsil: DC

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir said that the district administration has expedited implementation of beautification projects at tehsil level, with a focus on improving urban aesthetics and public facilities under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz.

He visited Chak Jhumra tehsil and conducted a detailed inspection of ongoing beautification and rehabilitation work at Mochi Bazaar (Main Bazaar).

During visit, he reviewed the quality of development work in progress and assessed the uniform design initiative being implemented for shops under a single theme to enhance visual appeal of the market.

He directed the concerned departments to accelerate the pace of work on the green belt being developed in the middle of the bazaar, emphasizing timely completion of the project.

He stressed that beautification project should be completed promptly to provide a conducive business environment for traders in addition to offering best recreational opportunities to the visitors.

He also instructed the Assistant Commissioner Chak Jhumra to ensure continuous monitoring of the project and maintain high standards of construction.

Later, DC Nadeem Nasir visited the under-construction PERA Office where he checked the quality of construction and ordered speeding up the remaining work.

Zero-tolerance policy was being strictly enforced to ensure merit and quality in all ongoing development schemes, he added.
