Bilawal appreciates BISP Initiatives for welfare of deserving families

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Chairman of the Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday appreciated the performance of the Benazir Income Support Programme and termed its ongoing initiatives for the welfare and uplift of deserving families as significant and commendable.

Bilawal Bhutto expressed these views during a meeting with Chairperson BISP, Senator Rubina Khalid, at Zardari House, where she briefed him on the overall performance of the programme and its related initiatives.

During the meeting, Senator Rubina Khalid informed the PPP chairman about the newly introduced digital payment system for women beneficiaries of BISP, aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency and convenience in the delivery of financial assistance.

She also highlighted initiatives being undertaken under the Benazir Hunarmand Programme to provide vocational training and promote the empowerment of deserving women and their family members.

The chairperson further briefed the PPP chairman on measures being taken to expand the outreach of the programme and ensure access to facilities and support services for a greater number of deserving families across the country.

Bilawal Bhutto lauded the efforts of BISP in strengthening social protection and empowering underprivileged segments of society through various welfare initiatives.
