BISE Lahore board kicks off Class 9 exams

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) The Secondary school Certificate (SSC) Part-I annual examinations under the board of Intermediate and Secondary education(BISE) Lahore began on Friday.

According to officials,A total of 287,575 candidates were appearing in the exams,including 152,000 female and 135,000 male students.

Among them,approximately 184,000 were regular candidates while more than 133,000 were private students.

880 examination centers have been set up with Section-144 imposed to maintain order.

Authorities said that entry of unrelated persons into center has been banned,while 26 sensitive centers were being monitored through CCTV cameras to curb unfair practices.
