Police Station Sadar Shujaabad has successfully traced a blind murder case and arrested five accused involved in the killing of a woman

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Police Station Sadar Shujaabad has successfully traced a blind murder case and arrested five accused involved in the killing of a woman.

Holding a press conference on Friday, City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar said that Kulsoom Mai, had left her home on April 6, 2026, to cut grass for livestock but did not return. The next day, her son Mujahid along with his relatives discovered her body in a mango orchard with torture marks on the neck. A case under Section 302 PPC was registered and investigation was initiated.

The CPO said that a police team under the supervision of SSP Operations Haider Ali, SSP Investigations Muhammad Tahir and other senior officers was formed to solve the blind murder case and arrest the culprits. The police team used scientific methods, IT analysis and local intelligence to trace the suspects.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to strangling the woman and dumping her body in the orchard.

The arrested suspects included Hasnain Abbas, Falak Sher, Yaseen, Nadir Abbas and Muhammad Shahid, residents of Khakhi Panjani.

Police said the deceased was a close relative of the suspects. The accused stated in their confessional statements that they were aware of the woman’s alleged relationship with a man from the locality and had repeatedly warned her. On the day of the incident, they allegedly saw her returning with the man, after which they strangled her to death and dumped the body in the orchard.

Police officials stated that the case, initially considered a blind murder, was solved through professional investigation and modern technology. The CPO appreciated the police team for successfully resolving the case.
