Blind murder traced, 2 arrested

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Millat Town police have solved a blind murder case and arrested two people including a woman on murder charges within 10 days of the incident.

A police spokesman said here on Friday that Muhammad Shehbaz (46), a resident of Chak No. 202-RB Gatti, was killed under mysterious circumstances and his body was found lying near Chak No. 119-RB Rasoolpur on March 31, 2026.

The police, after lodging a complaint, started investigation on scientific lines and arrested a man Zakariya and his mother Amina over suspicion. However, during initial interrogation, the accused confessed to the offence of killing Shehbaz.

The accused revealed that ill-fated Shehbaz wanted to contract love marriage with the sister of Zakariya against the will of her family members and this issue caused his murder.

The police sent the accused behind bars while further investigation was under progress, spokesman added.
