Call to implement environment policy

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB),

Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran, emphasized the need to implement in Environment Policy in letter and

spirit.

According to IUB press release issued here on Sunday, the meeting reviewed the implementation

of Environmental Policy 2026. Addressing the meeting, the Vice Chancellor said that environmental

policy had been linked to the overall quality policy and national and global rankings, adding that in

this context, the Green Campus Project was of key importance.

“The implementation and implementation of IUB’s environmental policy is very important in the

implementation of policies of the Higher education Commission,” he said, adding that the aim

of environmental policy was to effectively manage and reduce the carbon footprint of the university

and promote a green campus with sustainable methods and environmental responsibility.
