SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) The three-day 2nd International Conference on Chemical Sciences: A Multidisciplinary Approach (ICCS-MA 2026) concluded at Shah Abdul Latif University’s Institute of Chemistry on Wednesday, with foreign scholars praising the event and pledging future academic collaboration.
Jointly organised by SALU’s Institute of Chemistry and the ACS-Pakistan Chapter with HEC Sindh’s support, the conference brought together scientists from Türkiye, Malaysia, Niger, Bangladesh and other countries to discuss innovation and interdisciplinary research in chemical sciences.
Delegates lauded both the academic quality and hospitality. Dr Gautier Roko called it a memorable first visit to Pakistan, while Dr Fatchima H.

Prof Dr Cemil Alkan of Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University, Türkiye, highlighted Pakistan-Türkiye academic ties, and Prof Dr Norazilawati of University of Malaya described the event as an excellent platform for research and partnerships.
VC Prof Dr Yousuf Khushk said the conference showed how chemistry can bridge nations, industry and environment. He urged moving beyond certificates to joint research, faculty exchange, student mobility and industry linkages to tackle climate and energy challenges.
Shields and certificates were distributed at the closing ceremony. The VC announced plans for more multidisciplinary international conferences at SALU.
