CEO health pulls up staff over procedural lapse at Mangowal Hospital

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the District Health Authority (DHA) Gujrat,Dr.Syed Ata-ul-Munim on Monday paid a surprise visit to Government Maternity Hospital Mangowal and took notice of irregularities in patient admission procedures.

During the inspection,the CEO reviewed healthcare services and administrative arrangements at the facility,besides checking the attendance of doctors,nurses and other staff members against the official duty roster.

Officials said Dr.Ata-ul-Munim also examined treatment records of admitted patients and expressed concern over the admission of a patient without a documented medical examination and a doctor's advice note.

He sought an explanation from the hospital in-charge and the concerned nurse regarding the lapse.

The CEO directed medical and nursing staff to strictly follow prescribed treatment protocols and ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to patients.

He warned that negligence in the delivery of healthcare services would not be tolerated and urged staff members to discharge their responsibilities with honesty,dedication and professionalism.

Reaffirming the district health authority's commitment to improving public health facilities,Dr.Ata-ul-Munim said all efforts would be made to ensure the availability of quality medical services and strengthen accountability within healthcare institutions.
