Ceremony organized to eulogize HESCO's official role during Ramzan

MIRPURKHAS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) A ceremony here on Thursday was held to honor officials and staff of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) for ensuring zero load-shedding in major commercial areas during the holy month of Ramzan under the Roshan Pakistan campaign.

The event, organized by the Anjuman-e-Tajiran Mirpurkhas, brought together traders, citizens and officials, who praised the uninterrupted power supply during the festive period.

The participants said the Roshan Pakistan initiative, launched under the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Power Sardar Owais Ahmed Khan Leghari, was beginning to deliver tangible relief to the public.

Superintending Engineer, HESCO, Mirpurkhas, Amir Ahmed Memon, said maintaining uninterrupted electricity during the holy month of Ramzan was a key responsibility to support both worship and business activities.

He said HESCO teams worked round the clock to ensure a stable supply, adding that four feeders in the city were currently operating without load-shedding.

Memon urged citizens to avoid electricity theft and cooperate with authorities to help improve the system and sustain consistent power delivery.

He described the recognition from traders as a source of encouragement and pledged continued efforts.

Anjuman-e-Tajiran President Anees-ur-Rehman Sheikh and General Secretary Haji Amin Memon said uninterrupted power supply during Ramzan and Eid had helped maintain business activity and provided significant relief, describing it as a first for the city.

The trader representatives also commended HESCO chief Faizullah Dahri and the local administration, expressing hope that similar measures would continue.

They reaffirmed their commitment to support national institutions in efforts to improve infrastructure and promote economic development.
