Child killed, 6 injured in rain, wind related incidents

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) A child was killed and six others including four women were injured in wind and rain related incidents in suburbs of the city on Thursday night.

According to Rescue-1122, in the first incident, a boundary wall of a home collapsed near Bhutta stop, Sultan Chowk, on Jhang road. Consequently, two children suffered serious injuries. One of them Haider Ali (13) s/o Muhammad Arshad died on the spot while his brother Noman (10) sustained head injuries. He was rushed to Allied Hospital.

In the second incident, roof of a home caved-in due to strong wind coupled with rain at Mogi Village, Balochni stop on Sheikhupura road.

As a result, two women suffered injuries. The Rescue-1122 teams rescued both the women and shifted them to the Civil Hospital, Shahkot. They were identified as Uzma (35) and Sana (17).

In another mishap, a woman Fatima, wife of Kamal suffered fractured in leg and head injuries as she buried under the debris of a roof which collapsed due to wind and rain near flour mills, Sadhar bypass, Jhang road. She was rushed to the Civil Hospital.

Two persons including a woman were injured in a roof collapse incident in Chiragh Colony, Kookianwala road. They were identified as Babar Javed (45) and his wife Majeedan Bibi. The Rescue team provided them first aid.
