Children to get modern play area in Multan

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) Commissioner Multan Division Amir Karim Khan has ordered the development of a modern and secure children’s play area near Chah board school to provide a safe space for recreation,officials said on Tuesday.

During a site visit,the commissioner inspected the vacant plot and directed authorities to restore and upgrade the neglected corner,which currently has broken swings and worn-out facilities.

He instructed the Municipal Corporation to prepare an urgent development plan and begin work immediately.

The new play area will feature modern playground equipment,decorative landscaping,colorful designs,flower arrangements, and a protective iron fence with essential safety measures.

Amir Karim Khan stressed that such initiatives are essential for children’s physical growth,mental development and social well-being.

He added that the administration was accelerating efforts to create more family-friendly public spaces across the city.

Local residents welcomed the move, expressing hope that the project would provide children with a dedicated and safe environment for outdoor recreation.

The Chief Officer of the Municipal Corporation and other officials were present and directed to complete planning and implementation at the earliest.
