China congratulates Balendara Shah on assuming office as Nepal's PM

BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) China on Friday congratulated Balendra Shah on officially assuming office as the Prime Minister of Nepal.

Addressing his regular briefing here, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian said that as a traditional friendly neighbor, China will continue to support Nepal in safeguarding its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“We support Nepal in achieving unity, stability, development and prosperity, and stand ready to work with the new Nepali government to renew traditional friendship, deepen practical cooperation, and push forward the China-Nepal intergenerational friendly strategic cooperative partnership for development and prosperities,” he added.
