Chiniot Coordination Committee reviews law and order, development and price control measures

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) A meeting of the District Coordination Committee (Home Department) was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Chiniot on Thursday, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan. The session was attended by DPO Dr. Naveed Atif, Major Irtaza of the Pakistan Army, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Wasiq Abbas Haral, Assistant Commissioners, and officials from various departments and security agencies, both in person and via video link.

The meeting was briefed on a wide range of administrative and civic issues, including ongoing beautification and development projects, price control measures, begging, traffic management, and progress on the Safe City project.

Concerns related to electricity theft, hoarding, smuggling, and the sale of substandard petrol and LPG were also discussed in detail.

On this occasion, DPO Dr. Naveed Atif presented a comprehensive overview of the law and order and overall security situation in the district. Participants were informed about recent improvements and ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and effective enforcement.

The committee expressed satisfaction over the progress made on various fronts while issuing further directives to concerned departments for continued improvement. Emphasis was placed on coordinated efforts to maintain stability, curb illegal practices, and enhance service delivery across the district.
