Chiniot police arrest drug peddler, recover 5kg hashish and Kalashnikov

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) Police in Chiniot arrested a suspected drug peddler during an operation and recovered 5 kilograms of hashish along with a Kalashnikov rifle, officials said on Saturday.

According to police, SHO Saddar Police Station Sub-Inspector Imran Khan and Sub-Inspector Tariq Mahmood led the raid at Kanyanwala Morr along with a police team, resulting in the arrest of the accused.

Officials said the recovery included a large quantity of hashish and a Kalashnikov rifle from the suspect’s possession, indicating possible links to both narcotics and illegal weapons activity.

A case has been registered at Saddar Police Station under narcotics and relevant legal provisions, while further investigation is underway to trace possible networks connected to the arrested suspect.
