CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) In a coordinated crackdown on narcotics, Chiniot Police on Monday arrested five suspected drug peddlers in separate operations across the district, recovering significant quantities of hashish, heroin, and liquor.
According to police sources, SHO Saddar Police Station Sub-Inspector Imran Khan, along with his team, apprehended a suspect and seized over 1,400 grams of hashish from his possession. In another operation, SHO Langrana Police Station Inspector Asadullah led a successful raid, resulting in the arrest of a drug peddler and recovery of 1,200 grams of heroin.
Meanwhile, SHO Bhowana Police Station Sub-Inspector Rizwan Ali, assisted by his team, arrested three individuals allegedly involved in the illicit liquor trade. Police recovered 62 liters of liquor during the operation, further tightening the net around illegal substance distribution in the area.
Police officials confirmed that separate cases have been registered against the accused under narcotics laws at Saddar, Bhowana, and Langrana police stations, with further investigations underway to trace supply networks and accomplices.
