Citizens flock to parks, recreational spots on third day of Eid

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) A large number of citizens visited public parks and recreational places across the provincial capital on Friday to celebrate the third day of Eidul Adha with traditional enthusiasm and festivity.

Families and children thronged popular spots including Bagh-e-Jinnah, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, Model Town Linear Park, Minar-e-Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif Park, Racecourse Park, Shalimar Gardens and Greater Iqbal Park.

The Lahore Zoo also remained a major attraction for visitors, resulting in heavy traffic congestion around the facility. Long queues of vehicles were witnessed at both entrances of the zoo located on The Mall and Lawrence Road, while several visitors faced difficulties in finding parking spaces.

Cinemas, children’s play areas, electronic swing parks and video game centres also witnessed an exceptional rush of people throughout the day. Ice cream parlours, fast food outlets, coffee shops and other eateries remained packed with customers celebrating the Eid holidays.

Many citizens also hosted gatherings at their homes, inviting relatives and friends for Eid parties where traditional Lahori dishes and sweets were served.

Meanwhile, special security arrangements were made outside parks and recreational venues to ensure the safety and convenience of visitors during the Eid celebrations.
