Commissioner directs disposal of E-Biz portal applications within 5 days,bans physical contact with applicants

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Wednesday directed all administrative departments to ensure that applications submitted through the E-Biz Portal were processed within five days,strictly barring any physical contact with applicants.

The directives were issued during a review meeting attended by the Additional Commissioner (Coordination),Additional Deputy Commissioners (General) of all four districts,focal persons and officials of relevant departments.

The commissioner said the initiative,aligned with the vision of the chief minister,aims to facilitate citizens by eliminating the need to visit government offices.

He stressed that all applications must be handled transparently and within the stipulated time frame to ensure maximum public convenience.

He further directed that officials must not establish direct contact with applicants at any stage,adding that all services should be delivered remotely through the system.

To ensure effective implementation,department heads were instructed to convene meetings with their focal persons without delay.

The commissioner also directed that help desks remain fully functional to guide citizens on the use of the portal.

According to a briefing,a total of 7154 applications have been received across the division so far.

Of these,6073 have been processed,including 5850 approved and 223 rejected cases,while 1074 applications were currently under process,reflecting an overall performance rate of 96 per cent.

3257 applications were received in Mianwali,1566 in Sargodha,1775 in Bhakkar and 556 in Khushab.
