Commissioner Hazara hosts farewell ceremony in honour of transferred DCs

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) A farewell ceremony was held at the Commissioner Hazara Office on Wednesday in honour of transferred Deputy Commissioners Ishtiaq Ahmad, Tariq Ali Khan, and Anwar Zeb, with senior administrative and police officials in attendance.

The ceremony was attended by Commissioner Hazara Fayyaz Ali Shah, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Hazara Nasir Mahmood, Deputy Commissioners, District Police Officers (DPOs) of Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Haripur, as well as other senior officers from the administration and police departments.

Speaking on the occasion, RPO Hazara Nasir Mahmood said that Deputy Commissioners and DPOs across the division had worked in close coordination as a team, ensuring effective governance and maintaining a strong working relationship between the administration and police.

He noted that despite facing different challenges in their respective districts, the officers demonstrated exemplary cooperation and professionalism throughout their tenure.

Commissioner Hazara Fayyaz Ali Shah paid tribute to the services of the outgoing officers, stating that they had discharged their responsibilities with dedication, integrity, and professional competence. He said that transfers and postings were a routine part of government service and emphasized the importance of continuing to serve the public with commitment wherever officers are assigned.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Commissioner Hazara presented traditional rugs to the outgoing officers, while the Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad awarded commemorative shields and the Director General of the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) presented gifts. The commissioner extended his best wishes to the departing officers and welcomed the newly appointed officials.
