Commissioner Hazara orders cleanliness, security & tourist-friendly measures ahead Eid-ul-Adha

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Commissioner Hazara Division Fayyaz Ali Shah on Wednesday directed all district administrations to ensure comprehensive arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha, uninterrupted fuel supply, improved cleanliness, and maximum facilities for tourists across Hazara Division.

The directives were issued during a high-level meeting chaired by the commissioner regarding Eid arrangements, security, sanitation, traffic management, and tourism facilities. The meeting was attended by all deputy commissioners, DPOs, and officers of relevant departments from Hazara Region, while Regional Police Officer Nasir Mahmood Satti was also present.

During the meeting, various departments briefed participants on preparations for Eid-ul-Adha. The commissioner instructed authorities to ensure proper facilities at cattle markets and ordered strict action against illegal cattle markets operating without permission. He also warned that legal action would be taken against individuals and organizations collecting sacrificial hides without obtaining the required NOC.

Fayyaz Ali Shah directed officials to establish designated zones for disposal of animal waste and offal and to closely monitor sanitation operations to maintain cleanliness during Eid days. He further instructed all amusement parks to complete fitness certification and safety measures before Eid holidays.

Emphasizing tourist facilitation, the commissioner directed police, excise, and district administration officials to avoid unnecessary harassment and excessive challans of tourists’ vehicles. However, he said intelligence-based security operations could continue to ensure public safety.

The meeting was informed that arrangements would also be made to ensure availability of recovery vehicles in all districts and maintain smooth traffic flow on highways during the Eid holidays. The commissioner directed authorities to ensure uninterrupted supply of petrol and diesel at all filling stations to avoid fuel shortages for residents and tourists.

Fayyaz Ali Shah said all government departments are meant to serve the public and directed officers and staff to perform their duties responsibly and honestly. He also ordered all departments to activate control rooms during Eid-ul-Adha for effective coordination and timely response to public complaints and emergencies.

The commissioner said Hazara Division remained peaceful and secure, adding that no disturbance or hooliganism at tourist destinations would be tolerated. Hotel owners were also directed to provide quality facilities and courteous services to tourists, otherwise strict legal action would be taken against violators.
