Commissioner inspects work on emergency ward at cardiac hospital

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen visited Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology (FIC) here on Friday.

Additional Commissioner Coordination Tanveer Murtaza was also accompanied.

The Commissioner visited different wards of the hospital and inquired from the patients and their attendants about the provision of medicines and treatment facilities by the hospital administration.

She directed the Medical Superintendent to provide all medical facilities to the heart patients.

She also inspected the under-construction work of the 280 beds emergency block costing Rs 550 million with the financial support of the local philanthropists and stressed for its early completion.

The Medical Superintendent said that 4,000 heart patients are being provided services at the OPD in the hospital on a daily basis.

He said that over 1.1 million patients attended at the OPD and the hospital was at the top in Punjab province by delivering medicines to 3.5 million patients at their doorsteps.
