Commissioner reviews measures for Punjab public-private partnership

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) A meeting chaired by Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali here on Thursday to review measures for the effective implementation of the Punjab Public-Private (PPP) Partnership Act 2025 and decided to expedite divisional-level initiatives under the new framework.

According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner's office here, the meeting was attended by deputy commissioners from Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab and Bhakkar, along with officers from various government departments, representatives of relevant institutions and officials associated with public-private partnership projects.

The session focused on strengthening the public-private partnership (PPP) model to ensure transparent, efficient and speedy execution of development projects across Punjab.

During the briefing, the officials explained key features of the Punjab Public-Private Partnership Act 2025, including its legal framework, institutional structure, project planning procedures and mechanisms for private sector participation.

Addressing the participants, Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali described the PPP model as an effective modern mechanism aligned with contemporary development needs.

He directed all concerned departments and institutions to ensure close coordination, effective planning and integrated efforts for timely completion of projects aimed at improving public service delivery.
