Commissioner reviews performance of district administrations

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad, Fayaz Hussain Abbasi chaired a meeting in Sujawal district on Friday to review administrative performance, ongoing development schemes and the improvement of public service delivery across Sujawal, Thatta, and Badin districts.

The Commissioner's spokesman informed that the meeting reviewed in detail the pace and quality of development projects, price control measures, anti-encroachment operations and the retrieval of state land. 

Abbasi directed the concerned officials to ensure timely completion of all development schemes and stressed the need for strict enforcement of price regulation mechanisms.

Emphasizing the need for transparency in governance, he underscored the importance of accurate and computerized land record keeping. He instructed the officials to accelerate efforts for the digitization and verification of revenue documents.

The Commissioner also directed the officials to improve sanitation systems, take urgent steps to cover open manholes and conduct regular inspections of slaughterhouses to guarantee compliance with health and hygiene standards.

He also called for enhanced fire safety audits and the implementation of broader precautionary measures across public facilities. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the effective utilization of the dashboard monitoring system, with instructions to review performance on a daily basis.

Abbasi said improved inter-departmental coordination was essential for the timely resolution of public issues.

He reiterated that the provision of quality public services remains the government’s top priority and warned that negligence at any level would not be tolerated.

The Commissioner directed officials to ensure that they carried out regular field visits and demonstrated visible improvement in performance indicators.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sujawal Zahid Hussain Rind, DC Thatta Sarmad Ali Bhagat and DC Badin Yasir Bhatti besides other officers.
