SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Thursday presided over a meeting to review proposed development projects across the division in light of directives issued by the Chief Secretary Punjab.
According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner's office here, the meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, and Bhakkar districts, along with officers from relevant departments.
During the meeting, officials presented detailed briefings on proposed projects relating to public welfare, provision of basic facilities, infrastructure improvement, urban amenities, construction and rehabilitation of roads, and environmental development initiatives.
The participants were informed about the utility of the proposed schemes, estimated costs, implementation timelines, and priorities based on public needs.
Addressing the meeting, the Commissioner said that the Punjab government is committed to resolving public issues and ensuring sustainable development across the province.
He directed that all projects should be finalized while keeping ground realities, public requirements, and transparency in view.
He emphasized that priority should be given to projects that directly benefit the general public and contribute significantly to regional development.
The Commissioner further directed the authorities to ensure quality standards, timely completion, and efficient utilization of resources in all development schemes.
He instructed Deputy Commissioners to strengthen monitoring mechanisms in their respective districts and maintain close coordination with relevant departments so that the proposed projects could be implemented without delay.
The meeting also stressed that all proposed schemes should be aligned with the Punjab government’s policy framework and the directions of the Chief Secretary Punjab to make the development process across the division more effective and coordinated.
