SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) Commissioner Syed Naveed Haider Shirazi visited Daska to review public facilities and performance of government departments. Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali and Assistant Commissioner Sadia Jafar accompanied him during the visit.
The commissioner inspected the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Daska, where he reviewed various departments and checked the attendance of doctors and paramedical staff. He visited the emergency, outpatient department, laboratory and wards, and interacted with patients and their attendants to assess the quality of healthcare services.
Speaking on the occasion, Shirazi said the Punjab government was taking serious measures to improve healthcare standards in public hospitals, ensuring uninterrupted supply of medicines and provision of required funds.
He directed authorities to ensure timely and quality medical care, warning that negligence would not be tolerated.
He also visited the roadside market, reviewing cleanliness, traffic flow and encroachments. He directed officials to introduce a uniform and aesthetically pleasing design for all carts to enhance the city’s appearance and ensure immediate removal of encroachments to facilitate smooth movement of citizens.
Later, the commissioner inspected various petrol pumps, checking fuel stocks, quantity and quality. He warned against hoarding and artificial shortages, directing officials to ensure availability of fuel at notified rates and strengthen monitoring mechanisms.
