Commissioner wants road projects completed before June end

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jun, 2026) Commissioner Multan Aamir Kareem Khan paid a detailed visit to important city road

projects including the under-construction Brands Road and Peer Khurshid Colony Road

here Monday and directed officials to complete all ongoing projects before June end.

Accompanying a team of officials, the Commissioner reviewed the pace and quality

of ongoing development work aimed at improving urban infrastructure and public convenience.

During his visit to the Brands Road site, Commissioner Khan directed officials to further

accelerate construction activities for timely completion and minimize inconvenience

to the public.

All available resources be utilized to complete carpeting work at the earliest, he ordered.

Emphasizing environmental concerns, he ordered the regular sprinkling of water to control

dust and directed the Multan Development Authority (MDA) to take effective measures to

eliminate dust pollution in the area.

The Commissioner said that all roads projects should be completed while maintaining

highest standards.

Officials briefed the commissioner on progress regarding Wasa pipelines, Wapda cables,

transformers, and civil works. He also reviewed progress on the installation of benches

and canopies along Brands Road to enhance public convenience.

The Commissioner also visited Pir Khurshid Colony Road site that stretches to Chungi No. 8

at its one end and to Brands Road, Gulgasht on the other.

He ordered to keep streetlights operational and install new lights where necessary and

sought provision of civic amenities on the roadside.

According to the briefing, water-bound work on the 2350-foot-long road was progressing

rapidly, and carpeting would begin immediately after completion of the water-bound layer.

Aamir Karerm Khan emphasized that the timely completion of development projects and

the provision of better travel and basic facilities to citizens remain among the administration’s

foremost priorities.
