Constitution of 1973 is shining chapter in Pakistan’s democratic history: Awais Shah

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh Syed Awais Qadir Shah said that the Constitution of 1973 was a shining chapter in Pakistan’s democratic history.

In his message on Constitution Day on Friday, he said that the 1973 Constitution ensured national unity, parliamentary supremacy and the protection of public rights.

The Constitution of Pakistan reflects a unified national vision and political wisdom, he said adding that the 1973 Constitution strengthened the Federal structure and empowered the people, he said.

Syed Awais Qadir Shah said that the Constitution provided guiding principles for the state system in times of difficulty. He said that 10 April 1973 symbolizes consensus and democratic stability in the country’s history.
