ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) A major crackdown was carried out on Link Road by Assistant Director Consumer Rights Protection, Farhat Khan Jadoon, who inspected various commercial outlets and took strict action against violations of consumer laws and hygiene standards.

During the operation, a hospital room and a beauty salon were sealed over serious irregularities and poor sanitary conditions.

Several medical stores, mega marts, and barber shops were also fined heavily for overcharging and maintaining substandard facilities.

According to officials, all violators have been booked under the Consumer Protection Act 1997, and further legal proceedings will be initiated against them.

Assistant Director Farhat Khan Jadoon stated that there would be no compromise on public health and consumer rights.

He said that a zero-tolerance policy is being strictly enforced against violators, adding that inspection drives will continue daily across the district to ensure price control and quality standards.
