Court seeks challan in foreign funding case against PTI

A banking court on Thursday directed authorities to submit the challan in the foreign funding case involving the PTI founder and others at the next hearing

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) A banking court on Thursday directed authorities to submit the challan in the foreign funding case involving the PTI founder and others at the next hearing.

The hearing was conducted by Special Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar. The investigation officer could not appear in court due to illness, while Special Prosecutor Wasif Malik attended the proceedings.

The prosecutor informed the court that the challan has been prepared and will be submitted soon. He also stated that two more accused and one witness have been added to the case.

The court directed that the challan must be submitted without fail at the next hearing and adjourned the case until April 14. The interim bail of co-accused Siraaj Ahmed and Faisal Qazi was also extended until the next date.

The case has been registered against the PTI founder and others under charges related to money laundering and foreign funding.
