Courts hand 18-year jail terms to two drug suppliers

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) Courts have sentenced two drug suppliers to a combined 18 years in prison and fined them Rs.160,000.0 in separate cases, police said on Thursday.

According to the details, each convict was awarded nine years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs.

80,000.0

The convict Hussain was arrested by Wah Cantt Police in November 2024 after recovery of 1.7 kg of hashish, while Osama was held by Mandra Police in December 2023 with 1.3 kg of the drug.

Police said the convictions were secured due to strong evidence and effective prosecution.
