Dacoit gang busted,valuables of Rs.277,000 recovered

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) Police claimed to have busted a dacoit gang by arresting three of its active members, including the ringleader, and recovered looted valuables worth Rs.277,000,officials said on Tuesday.

According to a police spokesperson,a team led by ASI Muhammad Bilal, under the supervision of the Incharge Lorry Adda Police Post, conducted a targeted operation and apprehended the gang’s ringleader,Waris Ali along with his accomplices Irfan Mohsin and Gulshan.

During initial interrogation,the suspects confessed to their involvement in at least 11 robbery and dacoity incidents across different areas.

Police recovered cash,three mobile phones and a pistol from the accused with the total estimated value of the recovered items at Rs.277,000.

Cases have already been registered against the suspects and further legal proceedings was underway,spokesperson added.
