DC Chiniot reviews furniture market beautification project, orders swift completion

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Monday visited the city’s furniture market along with Chief Officer Municipal Committee (COMC) Mirza Muzaffar Baig and other officials to review the progress of the ongoing beautification project.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner carefully inspected various development works and directed the concerned departments to significantly accelerate the pace of work. She instructed officials to ensure the installation of uniform-pattern tiles and shutters on all buildings in the market so that the area reflects a neat and visually appealing look.

Moreover, she emphasized that the state-of-the-art project should be completed promptly to facilitate traders and visitors. She added that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, beautification initiatives are actively underway across the district to improve the overall urban landscape.

The Deputy Commissioner also noted that the furniture market is one of the city’s most important commercial hubs; therefore, its modernization will undoubtedly provide a better environment for both citizens and traders.
