SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry and District Police Officer Suhaib Ashraf visited Tehsil Bhera and Bhalwal late where they reviewed in detail the ongoing Majalis, security arrangements, cleanliness, lighting and other facilities in Imambargahs.

Both the officers met the organizers of the Majalis, mourners and officers of the concerned departments and reviewed the arrangements made in connection with Muharram-ul-Haram. The Deputy Commissioner and DPO closely reviewed the arrangements for the ongoing Majalis in various Imambargahs of Bhalwal and Bhera and observed the presence of personnel deployed on security duty, entry and exit routes, lighting, cleanliness and other administrative matters.

The organizers of the Majalis and mourners expressed satisfaction in the arrangements made by the district administration, police and other concerned institutions and thanked the Deputy Commissioner, DPO and other administrative officers.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that by the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty, the Ashra of Muharram is passing in a very peaceful atmosphere which is the result of inter-religious harmony, peace committees, scholars, traders, civil society, the public and all institutions.

He said that the remaining days of Muharram will also be completed with the same spirit of unity, brotherhood, tolerance and caution. He said that elements who want to disrupt the peace and order in Pakistan and Punjab are always looking for an opportunity, so it is important that all citizens are vigilant and responsible.

He said that the district administration, police and other institutions are fully mobilized and no mischievous element will be allowed to succeed in their nefarious intentions. Later, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry also inspected the ongoing sewerage system rehabilitation, drainage and related development projects under the Punjab Development Program in Bhera .

He reviewed the work underway and took a briefing about the progress made on the project. On this occasion, Assistant Director Punjab Development Program Hamid Chatha gave a detailed briefing about the current status of the project, the progress made so far and the future stages.

The Deputy Commissioner directed that the development projects be completed in a high standard within the stipulated time so that the people can get their fruits as soon as possible. Assistant Commissioner Nimra Awais was also present on the occasion.
