DC for improving provision of healthcare services to public at taluka Hospital Sakrand

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani, chaired a significant meeting Wednesday at his office to review and improve the provision of healthcare services to public at Taluka Hospital Sakrand.

During meeting, a detailed review was conducted about available medical facilities at the hospital, including supply of medicines, attendance of doctors and paramedical staff, cleanliness conditions, and services being provided to patients.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner said that District Administration is utilizing all available resources to ensure the provision of quality healthcare facilities to public.

DC highlighted that since the National Highway passes through Sakrand and accidents frequently occur, it is essential to ensure the availability of doctors, paramedical staff, and medicines at Taluka Hospital Sakrand to effectively handle emergencies.

DC also informed that a letter would be written to Health Department for provision of medicines and the appointment of an orthopedic surgeon and a Medical Superintendent (MS) at the hospital.

DC directed formation of a committee to ensure the supply of insulin to underprivileged patients.

Deputy Commissioner instructed health officials to ensure better medical facilities for patients visiting hospital and to further improve cleanliness system within the hospital.

On the occasion, Member Sindh Assembly, Ghulam Qadir Chandio, emphasized that frequent accidents on the National Highway within Sakrand’s jurisdiction are causing loss of precious lives. He stressed the need to further improve the quality of healthcare services at Taluka Hospital Sakrand. Relevant officers also presented various suggestions for the improvement of hospital.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Sakrand Rameez Raja, District Health Officer Dr. Mudassar Hussain, District Manager PPHI Zakir Hussain Samo, In-charge MS Taluka Hospital Sakrand Muhammad Yousuf Magsi, and Chairman Town Committee Sakrand Syed Muhammad Uzair Shah.
