DC Kohat reviews education performance, orders improved facilities and modern teaching practices in Schools

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the District Steering Committee of the Education Department to review the performance of educational institutions and assess measures aimed at improving the quality of education and facilities in schools across the district.

The meeting was attended by the District Monitoring Officer Education, District Education Officers, and other relevant officials, who briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the department’s overall performance, ongoing initiatives, and progress in implementing educational reforms. A detailed review of key performance indicators and challenges facing the sector was also undertaken.

During the meeting, Muhammad Nawaz directed the District Education Officers (Male and Female) to take practical and result-oriented steps to enhance educational standards and ensure the provision of essential facilities in schools.

He stressed the importance of adopting modern teaching methodologies and innovative learning approaches in line with contemporary educational requirements to better prepare students for future opportunities and challenges.

The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the concerned authorities to address issues relating to staff deployment, uninterrupted water and electricity supply, repair and maintenance of school buildings, and construction of boundary walls where required. Reaffirming the district administration’s commitment to the education sector, he said that improving learning outcomes and providing a safe, conducive, and well-equipped educational environment for students would remain among the administration’s highest priorities.
