KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting under the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s District Service Delivery Initiative, emphasizing efficient governance, transparency, and prompt resolution of public issues across the district.
The meeting brought together officials from the district administration, line departments, and other relevant institutions to assess progress on public welfare and service delivery projects. Participants reviewed ongoing development schemes aimed at improving civic amenities and ensuring sustainable solutions to citizens’ concerns.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to prioritize public facilitation and ensure the provision of essential services at people’s doorsteps, describing the initiative as a key step toward strengthening grassroots governance.
As part of the district-wide monitoring campaign, Assistant Commissioner (HQ) Kohat, accompanied by the Assistant Director Industries, inspected several fuel stations to verify fuel dispensing gauges and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Meanwhile, Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hamza Mutahir visited Government Role Model Primary school Sherpao Colony and Government Comprehensive Higher Secondary School, where he reviewed attendance, cleanliness, educational facilities, and the overall academic environment.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He also inspected sanitation arrangements at village council dumping sites and directed staff to ensure timely waste collection and proper disposal.
Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Ibrahim Khan conducted inspections of the Service Delivery Center (SDC) Lachi, Patwari Circle Shakardara, and Patwari Circle Dharmalak to review record management and public service facilities. Under the same initiative, officials also inspected Ahmad Faraz Park, Basic Health Units, the Service Delivery Center, Patwar Khana, and Tehsil Office Kohat to evaluate cleanliness, public facilitation, healthcare services, and implementation of standard operating procedures.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment to accountability, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz warned that negligence or delays in addressing public complaints would not be tolerated and directed all departments to submit regular progress reports to ensure transparency and effective service delivery.
