DC Lahore calls workers as backbone of national development

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Lahore Capt. (retd) Muhammad Ali Ijaz on Friday paid rich tribute to workers on the occasion of Labour Day, stating that all development projects are the result of the tireless efforts of the labour class.

In his special message, he said the district administration Lahore salutes the hard work and dedication of workers on this day.

He noted that labourers are the backbone of national development, adding that the successful completion of major development projects is made possible through their continuous hard work.

He stressed that no country can achieve progress without ensuring the rights of labourers, reaffirming that the district administration is committed at every level to upholding dignity and equality for workers.

The DC emphasized the importance of timely payment of wages, saying workers should be paid before their sweat dries.

He further said that all available resources will be utilized for the welfare and betterment of the working class.
