MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh Usman Tahir Jappa participated in a ceremony held under the “Operational Preparedness and Early Response” programme aimed at enhancing the district’s capacity to deal with potential emergencies.
According to a spokesperson for the district administration, the event was organised in collaboration with the World food Programme (WFP) to further strengthen preparedness at the district level for any unforeseen situations. During the ceremony, disaster emergency items were handed over to the district administration by the organization to ensure a prompt and effective response in case of any natural disaster or emergency.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner said that protection of life and property of the public remains the top priority of the district administration, and all available resources would be utilized to achieve this objective.
He added that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, disaster management and relief activities are being modernized to ensure timely response during emergencies.
The DC appreciated the support of the organization, stating that collaboration with international institutions is significantly improving capacity at the district level.
District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Engineer Ubaidullah Khan, along with other district officers and representatives of relevant departments, also attended the event and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring immediate relief to the public during emergencies.
