DC orders grand observance of 'Battle of Truth' events

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Wednesday directed all relevant departments to organise the “Battle of Truth – May 9” commemorative events in a dignified and enthusiastic manner across the district.

The directions were issued during a meeting held here at his office to review arrangements for the upcoming observance.

The meeting was attended by ADC Revenue, ADC General, ADC Headquarters, Assistant Commissioners, Managing Director WASA, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation, District Council officials and other concerned officers.

The DC instructed authorities to ensure that events at district and tehsil headquarters are held with strong national spirit and public participation.

He directed that cities and markets be decorated attractively, while rallies and awareness programmes should also be organized to mark the occasion.

He said the purpose of the events is to pay tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Armed Forces and to highlight their sacrifices for the defence of the country.

Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry added that the ceremonies would honor the unwavering commitment and services of the armed forces in safeguarding national integrity.

He remarked that the unity, patriotism and solidarity demonstrated by the nation during last year’s May 9 observance were commendable, adding that the people had proven their determination to stand united for the security and stability of the homeland.

DC further directed all departments to maintain close coordination and effective cooperation to ensure that the programmes are organized in a disciplined, purposeful and patriotic manner.
