DC orders improvement in schools, strict monitoring of private institutions

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Tuesday chaired

a follow-up meeting of the district education authority to review implementation of previous

directives and discuss measures for improvement in the education sector.

During the meeting, officials informed the DC that a comprehensive survey of all government

schools across the district had been completed. The survey identified key infrastructure

and academic issues, while a detailed plan had also been prepared to address the shortcomings

on a priority basis.

The participants were further informed that practical steps had been taken to make computer

laboratories functional in government schools.

The meeting decided that five major government schools in the city would be shifted to solar

energy systems on a priority basis.

It was also agreed that a comprehensive solarization scheme for other schools would be

prepared and sent to those to Punjab government for inclusion in the Annual Development

Programme.

On the occasion, the DC issued strict instructions regarding monitoring of private educational

institutions and directed that no school should violate the registration policy.

He reiterated that every private school was bound to provide free education to at least 10 percent

deserving students.

He further warned that no institution would be allowed to charge tuition fees beyond the approved

limit, while an increase of more than five percent in annual fees would also not be tolerated.

He directed the authorities concerned to take immediate action against schools violating

government guidelines and impose heavy fines where necessary.

Speaking on the occasion, Hussein Ahmed Raza Chaudhry said provision of quality education

remained the top priority of the district administration, adding that all available resources were

being utilized to improve facilities in government schools and introduce reforms in line with

modern educational requirements.

He stressed that negligence at any level would not be tolerated and private educational

institutions must operate strictly within the legal framework to protect parents from unnecessary

financial burden.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Muhammad Arshad Wattoo, Chief Executive

Officer Education Akhtar Baloch, and Deputy Director Development Mahtab Yaseen also

attended the meeting.
