DC Qambar-Shahdadkot chairs District Price Control Committee meeting

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) In connection with the holy month of Ramazan, a meeting of the District price Control Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Imdad Ali Abro in the Darbar Hall of the DC Office, Qambar.

During the meeting, the prices of daily use commodities were reviewed. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Qambar Shahdadkot, Imdad Ali Abro, stated that food items should be provided to the public at discounted rates during the blessed month of Ramazan. The prices fixed will be reviewed on a daily basis, and legal action under the Respect for Ramadan Act will be taken against those charging higher prices.

He issued directives to Engineer SEPCO and Manager of Sui Southern Gas, instructing them to ensure no load shedding occurs during Sehri, Iftar, and Tarawih timings. Additionally, the Police Department was directed to tighten security around Mosques during Tarawih prayers.

He also instructed all Assistant Commissioners and Mukhtiarkars to set up Ramazan subsidized markets in all talukas of the district so that the poor population can benefit during this blessed month.

On this occasion, following consultations with all relevant stakeholders, the following prices for essential commodities were fixed at lowest rates if any one do not follow this list action will be taken against profiteers mafia.

It was also decided in the meeting that the prices of chicken and eggs will be determined based on the rates published daily in newspapers. Furthermore, it was decided that fruit and vegetable prices will be set by the Market Committee, and copies of these rates will be sent daily to the Deputy Commissioner's Office Qambar, the office of the Assistant Director BSP, and the offices of Assistant Commissioners and Mukhtiarkars.

It was also decided that Assistant Commissioners will personally conduct visits to markets and wholesale mandis. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner - 1 Zuhaib Odhano, Assistant Commissioners from all talukas, and officials from the Police, Rangers, Local Government, Livestock, Market Committee, Food Authority, and other departments.
