DC reviews Chiniot beautification drive at bus stand, furniture market

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Wednesday visited the General Bus Stand and Furniture Market to review ongoing beautification and restoration work, directing officials to accelerate efforts aimed at improving public facilities and the city’s appearance.

Accompanied by Administrator Wasiq Abbas Haral, the deputy commissioner inspected different sections of both sites and received briefings from officials regarding the progress of development, renovation and civic improvement projects. Officers from COMC, MOR and other concerned departments were also present during the visit.

Ayesha Rizwan instructed the relevant authorities to speed up cleaning, renovation, lighting and infrastructure improvement work to ensure a better environment for commuters, traders and visitors.

She also issued directions for necessary changes and improvements at various locations during the inspection.

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said beautification of the city and provision of improved civic amenities remained among the top priorities of the district administration. She emphasized that all ongoing projects should be completed within the stipulated timeframe and according to prescribed quality standards to give key commercial and public areas of the city a modern and attractive look.
