DC reviews civic services, healthcare facilities

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Muhammad Ali Ejaz on Tuesday reviewed municipal services, drainage arrangements and healthcare facilities in the provincial capital.

He directed officials to ensure timely completion of all ongoing works and maintain high service standards.

During his visit to Tehsil Nishtar, the DC inspected desilting of Hudiara Drain and curb stone painting work, and planted a sapling under a tree plantation campaign along the drain. He directed the authorities concerned to complete the cleaning of the drain within the stipulated timeframe and ensure regular plantation along its banks to help address environmental pollution.

The DC also visited Children’s Hospital to review medical and administrative arrangements.

He directed the hospital management to ensure uninterrupted availability of medicines and maintain cleanliness in all wards, emphasizing that provision of quality healthcare facilities to citizens remained a top priority of the Punjab government.

Reiterating a zero-tolerance policy towards delays in municipal works, he instructed departments to expedite ongoing development and sanitation activities. He also directed the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) to complete all drainage arrangements ahead of the monsoon season to prevent urban flooding.
