DC reviews facilities at Allama Iqbal Memorial Hospital

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali visited Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital on Saturday

and inspected various wards inquiring after patients under treatment.

According to a spokesperson for the DC Office, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Naeem Bashir and In-charge Special Branch Sheikh Ilyas accompanied her during the visit.

The deputy commissioner reviewed medical facilities, cleanliness arrangements, availability of medicines and overall services being provided to patients. She visited different wards, interacted directly with patients and asked about their treatment and facilities.

During the visit, the deputy commissioner also distributed lunch among patients and inquired about their well-being.

She said provision of quality healthcare and better care for patients was the government’s top priority and no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.

She directed the hospital administration to ensure uninterrupted supply of medicines, maintain high standards of cleanliness and provide all possible facilities to patients. She added that all available resources were being utilized to further improve healthcare services and performance of public hospitals.
