BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza visited the help desk established at the office of the Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur Sadar to review arrangements under the government’s “Own Farm, Own Livelihood” (Apna Khait Apna Rozgar) scheme.
During the visit, he inspected the facilities being provided to citizens at the help desk and assessed the overall management of the initiative. The Assistant Commissioner briefed him in detail on the scheme’s objectives, application procedures, and eligibility criteria. He was informed that under this program, agricultural land is being leased to farmers on easy terms to promote farming activities. The briefing further highlighted that the initiative is creating new employment opportunities for landless individuals, contributing to economic stability and growth.
The Deputy Commissioner closely examined the system for receiving and scrutinizing applications, emphasizing that all cases must be processed strictly on merit. He directed officials to prioritize deserving applicants and ensure the provision of facilities in a transparent manner. He stressed that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, it is the fundamental responsibility of the district administration to ensure that the benefits of public welfare programs reach the grassroots level, adding that no negligence would be tolerated. Syed Hassan Raza also directed officials to provide maximum facilitation to visiting citizens and ensure prompt resolution of their issues at the office.
