DC reviews Iqbal Manzil beautification work

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali on Sunday visited Iqbal Manzil

and nearby bazaars to check the progress of beautification project.

A spokesperson for the DC Office said, the DC directed the departments

concerned to speed up the work and complete the sewerage lines within

three weeks. She also asked them to ensure proper installation of water

supply lines.

She further directed the Municipal Corporation to form separate teams

for improving shop fronts, installing lights, fixing electric wires, and shifting

utility lines.

The DC said all work must be completed by June 30 and warned that delays

would not be accepted. She also ordered strict action against encroachments

while keeping the old and traditional look of bazaars.

She said the project would help restore the city’s beauty, improve facilities

for people, and promote tourism.
