DC reviews ongoing development, public welfare projects in city

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Thursday conducted a detailed inspection of various ongoing development and public welfare projects across the city in line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab.

Accompanied by officials from Solid Waste Management Company (SWMC), Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Municipal Corporation, Horticulture Authority, and FESCO, the DC reviewed progress on multiple infrastructure and urban improvement initiatives, a press release issued here.

The visit commenced at Zaidi road, where the DC assessed the situation regarding a pending court case related to shops and received a comprehensive briefing from relevant officers. He later visited Liaquat Market road to review progress on the Public Development Programme (PDP) and urban regeneration project.

On the occasion, WASA officials informed the DC that identification of the placement for laying sewerage lines had been completed.

He directed authorities to ensure timely completion of the project.

At Katchery Bazaar, Hussain Ahmed Raza inspected the ongoing city beautification project. He also reviewed FESCO’s underground electricity initiative and instructed officials to adhere strictly to the specific timeline to improve the urban environment for residents.

Furthermore, Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry visited Mohni Road and inspected the railway track along the route. He directed the PHA to further enhance the maintenance and beautification of green belts and parks to provide better recreational facilities to the public.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that improving city beautification, ensuring basic amenities, and enhancing public service delivery remain top priorities of the district administration in line with the Chief Minister’s vision. He warned that negligence in project execution would not be tolerated.
